Den Burg is the lively centre of the island: dozens of shops, sunny terraces and markets all year round.
About us
Den Burg – Winkelhart van Texel is a partnership of shopkeepers, cafés, restaurants and other businesses in the centre of Den Burg. Together we work for a town centre that is a pleasure to shop, eat and spend time in, for Texel residents and island visitors alike.
In the cosy town centre you'll find shops, businesses and entrepreneurs of every kind, so there's something for everyone. In between, enjoy coffee or lunch on a sunny terrace. All year round we organise markets, theme markets, shopping Sundays, promotions and street music, so there is always something going on in Den Burg.

The centre of Den Burg is compact, personal and always lively. Here is why you will want to linger a while.

Shops, businesses and squares are close together. Park your bike or car and explore the centre on foot.

Local business owners happy to help, with personal attention and often something typically Texel in store.

The squares and shady trees invite you to linger; a bench or terrace is never far away.
